1. Gmail now has an option to display unread messages before anything else. There are several "Index Styles" you can use, but I've found this the most helpful for managing my inbox. Just click the Gear to select Settings and view the Inbox tab. Choose Unread first from the dropdown. Share.
Up until two days ago, my "Inbox" in Gmail has only shown unread emails at the top, with the read ones being shown somewhere near the bottom. For some reason, this has changed. While my "Inbox" tab still shows "32" next to it, on the right hand side I can now see all emails, including unread ones.
Go to Control panel. Click on Clock and select, Language and Region. Click on Date and Time, then look at the time zone and see if it is correct. If it is, then there's no need to change it but if it isn't, then change it. In the same screen there's also a button that says: Change date and time.
Gmail is showing one unread mail when I don't have any. I've cleared spam, social, promotions, drafts and it's still showing 1 mail. Been like it for months now and I thought it would fix itself. The Inbox Filter says there's no unread messages. I normally use Gmail and it shows 0 in Inbox after I mark all as read. As my work mail, I use Outlook. It's very confusing and frustrating for me and I don't like it when I feel like I always have an unread message. I always wanna keep my Inbox to be 0 unread messages.

I have 0 emails. I checked everywhere for emails. I deleted them all. My inbox, outbox, trash, archive, junk, spam, you name it. All empty. Yet the app shows 1 unread email. This is the generic mail app that comes with windows, NOT outlook.
