Just received it yesterday and it's already coming in handy. It is well made, double stitched and fits perfect. I highly recommend it.

Okay, my cover is folded up right now because I plan on washing the car tomorrow morning. But I looked in my "car file" and here are the instructions: Use liquid all-purpose cleaner. (I believe that Simple Green is one) Wash in "normal" or "permanent press" cycle in cold/warm water. Rinse thoroughly to preserve the water resistance.

I would still cover it and yes the sheet is a good idea. I only use the factory cover as an outside overnight cover when traveling far from home. I winter store with a 3-layer custom dust cover from car cover world on both my cars.

One negative was wax is added to the rinse water. The other concern I have is clearance with the splitter/body and tires/wheels. Not all drive through washes are the same.
