I've got probably 20-30 boxes of donatable items: some clothes, kitchenware, dishes, etc. Now I'd like to find an organization who could come pick them up and put them to good use. I've called the Salvation Army which was my first thought but unfortunately I can't get anybody to call me back.
There are a lot of places that Used To pick up, they don't anymore. When both of my folks died, I tried to get anyone to pick up all their furniture. Nope. Not anymore. They mainly blamed it on Covid. Vets, Safenest, Salvation Army and more I can't remember now. All said they no longer pick up or even accept donations to their warehouses.
The Salvation Army came and picked up my Washer and Dryer, sadly only 5 years old. Their only stipulation is that the appliance being picked up must still be in working order and mine was. 02-06-2022, 10:16 AM
