Add new key there: <Setting key="MigrationDisabled" type="1" value="true" /> This should go at bottom just above the last line which is "</Settings>." Save the file and exit. Now launch Origin and that stupid notice will be gone.

No, i cant download it. I have a few ea games that i would like to play, but ea app just doesnt want me too. I see it as a waste of money, that i spend on these games as long as i cant play it. Why dont you just leave origin to be usable for those who dont want to use your * of an app. thank you
I tried uninstalling the crappy EA app and re-installing Origin (had it in my downloads folder still) without allowing it to update Origin. I could open Origin and launch a game without being forced into the non-functional new EA app. But launching the game, the game kept crashing and is completely unusable.
So I downloaded the new EA desktop app when EA Play came to gamepass yesterday and I tried downloading NFS Heat. I was surprised to see the download speed was going from 400kb/s to 900kb/s. I checked on every other launcher like Epic Games, Steam and even on the xbox app/microsoft store and I was getting 6-10mb/s download speeds on those.
Haven't been able to download a game through the disk or origin. When trying to install with origin, it gets to the finalizing stage and freezes at 0h 0m 0s. Have tried a clean boot multiple times and delete the necessary files, as well as uninstalling origin, setting it to administrator etc. Nothing seems to be working.
