The White River is a 722-mile (1,162 km) river that flows through the U.S. states of Arkansas and Missouri. Originating in the Boston Mountains of northwest Arkansas, it arcs northwards through southern Missouri before turning back into Arkansas, flowing southeast to its mouth at the Mississippi River.
The Whitewater River is a 62-mile-long (100 km) [2] tributary of the Walnut River in southern Kansas in the United States. Via the Walnut and Arkansas Rivers, it is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River. According to the Geographic Names Information System, the stream has also been known as Whitewater Creek.
Occupying only 587 square miles (152,000 ha), Woodruff County is the 13th smallest county in Arkansas. As of the 2020 Census, the county's population was 6,269. [ 1 ] Based on population, the county is the second-smallest county of the 75 in Arkansas. [ 2 ] Located in the Arkansas Delta, the county is largely flat with fertile soils.
