Codenames has a good balance between mass appeal and not being overly luck based. And generally when people ask "what games are fun for non gamers and gamers alike", you'll always see codenames recommended. I personally prefer to play social deductions, but still love codenames to agree that it could be interchangeable anywhere in the top 5.
Duet is the best of the series, in my opinion. In Codenames, 1 guess clues are given once a team gets a comfortable lead. Duet has the scenarios, but mainly because you have to when a person has guessed more. I also love that both people are the Spymaster. A huge step over the other Codenames games.
