Back to the day, took me about two hours walking out with my ice auger so I could check ice. Then I hooked my ATV up to my sled and followed my holes to 32' fow. Used minnows, wax worms and night crawlers. I had bites on night crawlers, caught four perch, six cats and had one line broke off in two hours of fishing.
I decided to buy the new ice kit since it was $350 at Cabelas near me. I hooked it all up and, so far, the GT10HN-IF appears to work just the same as the GT8HW-IF when setup the exact same. Keep in mind this is testing in a kitchen haha. I'm planning on doing some actual on the ice testing tomorrow and can give more information then.

The last month of 2019 was a busy month, so my ice fishing season started on new years day 2020. I though it would be a good way to start the year off. Destination: Fishing Lake. I chose the area where I usually had luck in the open water season, and set up in the shallows from 1.35 pm until 5:30 pm.

Attached are my reports for the 2022 ice fishing season. Ice fishing season, for me, started at the end of Jan. this year. This winter's extreme weather swings have given us days where it's - 30 deg C / -22 deg F one day, and, the next day it can be - 1 deg C / 30 deg F.
