The issue is that there is a physical license you need to pick up that will disappear instantly once receiving and accepting the quest to upgrade your ship. You most likely missed the card pickup and beamed to a planet, subsequently deleting said necessary object. This could have been avoided by simply picking up the card on the ground.

I tried to run the game on the integrated Intel graphics card, it run without any problem but the framerate was too low. Log 1 is of game not running properly on NVIDIA, and log 2 is game running without any issue on Intel HD. Edit: I also attached a log 3 from the 32 bit instance of the game.
