We will open our newest and largest Ham Radio Outlet in Milwaukee at the end of August 2016. Effective at the closing of AES on July 28, 2016, all former AES locations’ direct telephone numbers and toll free telephone numbers will be redirected to the closest HRO location so as to not disrupt providing service to the AES customer base.

As in the past, there will be manufacturer displays with representatives from many of the popular radio and related accessory manufacturers available to talk to and learn about the latest in amateur radio gear, the famous HRO Club Corner, forum discussions, amateur radio testing, a mini amateur radio boot camp, food by the scouts, and giveaways.
Have eaten with and spoken to Bob over the years on my trips to California. My good friend K6RJ Jim Rafferty, who worked at Anaheim HRO for years, had the same suffix as Bob, neat touch to the HRO team in those earlier years. May both RIP and thanks for the contributions to ham radio and DXing throughout the years. Thoughts are with the family.

Ham Radio Outlet’s Bob Ferrero, W6RJ, has passed away after a lengthy illness battling cancer and heart disease. Well-known among the DX community, Bob was an active DXer & DXpeditioner, and supporter of ‘DX is’ for over 50 years. At HRO, W6RJ took a single store and made it into a national chain, which still thrives today.
