What you have is akin to a ferrari (albeit an old one, the PRO2 is two generations behind the current control systems) in the home automation world. The only reason you would want to use a PRO2 is if you had a lot of other Crestron or other professional grade home automation equipment you need to integrate. 5.
Get a USB to Serial adapter (one with a prolific PL2303 chipset - Crestron us picky), a straight through cable, and a bill modem cable (because I can't remember which one the pro2 uses). connect up to computer port of the Pro 2 on the back ( to the right of the COMs). Open text console, and set IP address, gateways, net mask, etc OR set DHCP.
We recently installed a new Converge Pro 2 128T with a 120. We are using the v1.0 modules that were made available on ClearOne's website. We are controlling the ClearOne via a serial connection from a CP3. The Converge is running firmware 3.4.30.0. We recently had an issue where the modules would initialize and then drop out, and then ...
If you’re not a Crestron programmer/installer/dealer you’re going to have a bad time with this. Even if you recover it, you need special software to reload it with the programming that was on it before it died. Call a dealer. Have them work on it. 1.
VT Pro won't open any projects, complaining that I am missing flash player (I am on win10 20h1 and the flash removal on update did apply). I am on the latest version of VT Pro which explicitly states it does not need flash player. VT Pro, smart graphics, cresdb, device database, and toolbox are all the latest versions.
you can look up the factory reset procedure- once the PRO 2 is factory reset, it will switch back to the default IP which is something like 192.168.1.125. change your network card ipv4 properties of the laptop to something like 192.168.1.99 and the subnet 255.255.255.0. connect laptop to the LAN port of the PRO 2 and see if you can discover it with the device discovery tool in toolbox.
Working a VOIP migration and we have to get some Pro 2 units registered to our new SIP cluster, but the Console version available on Crestron's website wont allow me to change any network settings on the devices without upgrading the firmware (they are currently on version 3.4.30.0).
Attempting to use pro sound tools for an old AMS and in toolbox it's no longer listed as a tool and no install option within masterinstaller. I have the latest version of toolbox (2.43.337.00) and when I go to the Crestron latest versions page ( LINK) it has a pro sound tools version 2.42.324.01. When I attempt to install that specific ...
I want to have a back-up Crestron processor in the event mine fails. It is 8 years old. I have purchased used Pro 2 processors and have cleared all of the software stored in the memory. I have downloaded the program software from my existing processor, and have uploaded this software in the new backup processor.
We bought a house that came with Crestron system and CNMSX-Pro as processor, a number of expansion modules and a number of wall mounted touch screen panels. It controls window shades, thermostats, ceiling speakers, fireplaces and some lighting. We are having some small issues with the system but can live with it for now.
