    No, regular golf cart, campgrounds that I frequent require liability insurance; sounds like they are quoting regular auto rates to you. That's around what mine is too, I pay $75 a year for 25/50/25. We can't get them registered for street use in Louisiana though if they don't come from the factory that way.

    State Farm knows, understands and has actual LSV insurance including PIP. I also believe Farmers does as well. A few posts away I listed my agent who could also help you get insurance. My previous typical golf cart insurance ran around $100 a year but wasn't LSV insurance nor did it have PIP.

    The insurance companies will provide Off Road Golf Cart Insurance. Allstate, State Farm, etc. If you're going to become street legal and need Auto Insurance you'll need to get your cart converted to LSV standards and receive a FLA vin for your vehicle provided by the DMV.

    $236 a year full coverage from USAA. American Collectors Insurance, (typically does collectible cars) wouldn’t do a LSV. $236 may be a little high, but USAA is the best insurance company out there. During the pandemic they kept putting credits back into my account because they recognized people weren’t driving as much.
