After a couple weeks of scouring craigslist for a deep freeze or refrigerator for my fermentation chamber I stopped in to menards. I noticed when I was driving in to the yard they had some used appliances by the gate. I stopped in and talked to the guy. He informed me that they are the...

I'm reviving this thread because I'm wondering if anyone's keezered a Menard's Criterion chest freezer. It's not in the Freezer spec sticky. Click to expand... I hit Menards with some cardboard circles. It looks like the Criterion 10.6 cu ft holds 8 ball locks on the floor and 2 on the hump. The 7 holds 3 on the floor. The 5 holds 1 on the floor.

I am starting my first batch which is a bohemian pilsner lager and ferments best at 54 F. I live in Hawaii so I bought a mini fridge to ferment at such a low temp. Unfortunately the fridge still runs under 40 F at minimum power. Do all refrigerators run this way or did I get unlucky with the...

Most top freezer refrigerators have reversible doors. Because of this, there are mounting points (holes) for the center hinge on the bottom side of the freezer door/top side of the refrigerator door on both sides of each door.

  9. Criterion Freezer reset time? - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/criterion-freezer-reset-time.577885

I was looking at the Criterion freezers at Menards. I noticed that the manual says that if the unit loses power that you have to wait 3 to 5 minutes to restart it, or it won't run. Is this common, and would it be an issue with a Randco ETC? It seems like if it cycled too soon for some reason...

I have a sweet-looking old Fridgidaire from the 50's as my beer fridge and was wondering if there is any way to update it in order to make it more energy efficient. Anyone have any experience or knowledge on this subject?
