Though it’s in the middle of nowhere, Dartmouth does place a suprisingly large number of people into internships at many large iBanking firms, i.e, Goldman Sachs. Check the iBanking thread for more info on this. HYP tend to be good at Econ but also many other non-business quantitative subjects, like Physics, Math and possibly Chemistry.
I think Dartmouth would be a good fit, but it still has ivy league academic rigor (I think) with the community for partying. However, diversity and hardworking students is still high at a place like Dartmouth. The three people in my school who are going to Dartmouth next year are very down-to-earth, hardworking people (all asian too). system ...

Hi, My DS23 is considering Dartmouth as one of his ED choices. He has visited it twice and is excited about the academic program including the engineering program as well as the location, clubs, etc. However, he is concerned about the “bro/bruh” culture and that the athletes “rule” the school and are at the top of the social pyramid. He’s also curious about how inclusive the frats ...
<p>Dartmouth has the added advantage of having the resources of its medical/engineering/business schools, and it attracts a lot of well-known speakers and visiting professors. That being said, I think that the quality of education you could get at Dartmouth is exactly equal to what you could get at Bowdoin. </p> <p>A few more things to consider:
Dartmouth is only known for it due to the Animal House movie, based on a now ended frat. In the last few decades, finals/eating clubs and frats have reformed at top institutions, and Dartmouth has really led the way on that. We had to, since that ridiculously overexaggerated movie made us unfairly “known” for frats.

I have known plenty of students like this, but don’t know how large the pool is. And of course all the highly rejectives want those students. I know that I have said this before but I have sent two students with ACTs in the neighborhood of 20 to highly rejective schools and they have done well…meaning more As than Bs. Not in difficult STEM ...
