  2. 1st Generation Charter Arms (.38 Undercover) - Any Experts?

    www.northeastshooters.com/xen/threads/1st-generation-charter-arms-38...

Both are Charter Arms (1st Generation: 593xxx; 798xxx) Undercover .38 (one blued the other stainless) that have less than 25 rounds and have been kept in superb shape - built in Stratford, CT. I gather from some quick research that the revolvers are probably 20-25 years.

  3. For the 1st Generation Charter Arms revolvers: the ONLY ones rated for .38+P use are the pieces originally chambered for .357 Magnum and the "POLICE" models, the 6 shot versions with Medium Frame. All the Undercover and OffDuty are NOT rated for +P .38 ammo.

  4. The box is a generic Charter Arms box with a sticker on one flap with "Charter 2 38 SPL" and the serial number printed on it. Price sticker says "List Price 173.00", "Our Price 164.95". I see some on the web going for $300 in good condition, this one looks like new. Serial Number is 644XXX. It weighs 16 Oz's empty.

Thats what i thougth too, but everyone seems to be unsure if there not complaint because there not on the "secret list" like glocks or because there on the EOPS list as Charter 2000 and there now called Charter Arms.

Aug 27, 2017. #1/38. Hey fellas, need some advice from you guys, I bought a Charter Arms .38 Undercover yesterday from Mark over at Holliston Firearms. It was a great deal but it is the Santa Fe Sky model which is a god aweful shade of turquoise. Like I said, good price decent gun so I said what the hell im not gonna forego it.

  7. Anyway, it is unfired and has a terrible, heavy trigger pull. I was going to dry fire it 400-500 times to lighten trigger, but am unsure if these Charter Arms revolvers are OK to do that with. I had emailed their customer service with no response a week later. Tim. Tim. July 19th, 2015, 06:40 PM #2. R L Suehr.

Feb 23, 2013. #1/27. I made an impulse buy a few weeks ago in the form of Charter arms Pitbull in .40 s&w. Turns out this is the poorest made gun ever, The front sight was canted as if machined offset, Rifling was burred up for about an inch on the right hand side of the bore and the guns overall finish was just unacceptable.

  10. Re: Charter Arms Professional >32 magnum. I have a Charter "Undercoverette" in 32 H&R Magnum, bought used, and it has been both flawless and accurate. The DA and SA trigger pulls are better than those of some Ruger revolvers I have, and rival those of some S&W revolvers. I've accumulated several Charter revolvers in the past 5-6 years, either ...

  11. Charter ARms Pitbull revolver in .40

Jan 21, 2014. #2/18. I bought a 2008 Charter Arms Police Undercover in .38 special, NIB in 2009. It has been back to the factory twice and is essentially unfixable but should still be "shootable". But if you try and unload all 6 rounds as fast as you can the cylinder binds after 2-3 shots. And sometimes it binds during regular, slow speed firing.
