Just click the "class c" button, that worked for me. Once you arrive, check-in, fill the form again, your picture will be retaken and they will charge $11, then they will send you to the road test in minutes. My daughter took hers a couple of years ago and they were swamped with appts.

Assuming you can get a lift your best bet is to look out of town. My daughter couldn't get into Moncton for a test so we registered in Sussex. Usually road test appointment availability is released every Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. I advise you to check at that time. You need to be continuously checking.

In California, you can check other DMV sites. The ones far out of the way tend to have less appointments booked. Was finally able to resolve the issue. Issue was very simple - Apparently folks at the MVC did not update their system when the written test was cleared. Managed to get the appointment for road test after visiting in person (waited for the post lockdown rush at nearby MVC to subside).
