The Lenovo System Update software is just what it sounds like -it scans your system for updates. The Lenovo Vantage software is a Windows 10 app that does the same thing as Lenovo System Update but adds "other features" - some of which might be considered "bloat-ware". Windows Update allows for the update of both Lenovo drivers and firmware.
Some of my personal highlights: Does driver, BIOS/UEFI and firmware updates. Run locally or through PowerShell Remoting on another machine. Allows for fully silent and unattended updates. Supports not only business computers but consumer (e.g. IdeaPad) lines too. Web-Proxy support (Use -Proxy parameter) Ability to download updates in parallel.
The simplest is you make 2 google searches to find the drivers, but make sure the links results point only to Intel's site, for example "Intel bluetooth drivers", and "Intel AX200 11AX (2x2) driver" if you purchased it with the Killer AX wifi spec. Open Device Manager (Win+X), expand Display adapters, right-click your Nvidia GPU and select Update driver. Point to the folder you extracted and click Next.
We use SCCM for imaging, therefore we have a step in our TS to run Lenovo System Update via PowerShell script which updates everything to current. For automating driver updates in production, we deployed a policy that created a scheduled task to run TSVU.exe silently every Friday at 12:00pm.
Lenovo today said eventually (likely December) all updates - drivers, bios, controllers - will be done through legion space. They’re currently working on it with the hopes to add it to the big December update. For now, press the right legion button. Go down to the question mark. Click/tap support. On the support page tap the laptop. Detect ...
