Credit Union of Southern California, Wescom, and Logix are all ones that I’ve worked with and hold in high regard. You may be eligible for some others depending on your employer or university or other affiliation. SchoolsFirst is awesome too if you’re eligible. Reply reply.
I suppose it depends where exactly you are. In the San Diego area I’d recommend Mission Fed. Most are pretty great. Schoolsfirst! If you're comfortable with online only, I like Alliant. 3.2K subscribers in the creditunions community.

Credit Unions in Southern California for Auto Loans. Hello, I am an international student on STEM OPT looking to buy a car in the Los Angeles/OC region. I have 3 years of credit history with a FICO score of 740-750, but I am wondering if CUs in general are willing to take my file. If so, any recommendations welcome!
I suggest using a combination of Credit Union and an online bank. I use ING Direct and the USC Credit Union. First Entertainment might work -. my AFTRA one allows me to get money out with no fees at 7-11 etc. not what I expected. Join one though- really great - so much better than a bank.
In general, credit unions offer lower rates on loans, more generous policies regarding plan fees, and tend to be kinder than big banks (in my experience, of course). The downside of a credit union is less availability of ATMs and lack of the giant support network of a 24-hour, world-wide business.
