Anyways, they do have super responsive customer service, so it’s worth a try, assuming they guarantee all the parts will get to you. You can get screw-in furniture legs at Home Depot for $2 - $5 each! Pick some up and then list the ottoman at close to full price on CL or your Facebook page.

Not sure you can have a door open into a downward staircase, safety-wise (leaning over the fall of stairs when grabbing the handle). I think there are blockage issues with an egress to the exterior that requires it to swing inward (I.e. something could prevent it from opening outward to trap you)

It can be difficult to open so you do have to make sure you do not close it tight. The omiebox can be a bit heavy, no problem when its just taking it to school and back but we packed it in DS's backpack when he went to camp and had to carry around his backpack all day.

Post by holly116 onJan 16, 2024 at 9:03am. We have the West Elm Harmony 2-piece chaise sectional. I will preface this rant with the fact that this experience has caused me to swear that I will never shop at Pottery Barn/West Elm ever again. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. I cannot overstate that enough.

  6. Furniture arrived damaged - how much credit back | GBCN

    pandce.proboards.com/thread/639642/furniture-arrived...

It was an 87 lb. package, and while I was doing all the arrangements behind the scenes, my dad was the one handling the actual package. He had no way to get an 87 lb. box containing a bed frame back to a UPS shipping point by himself, so even though they sent me a prepaid label for the return, it cost me $20 or so to request a pickup.

I've tried buying used/refurbished phones from Amazon and eBay with mixed results. Make sure if you do this there is a good return policy.

  8. Do you leave windows open when you aren't home? | GBCN -...

It’s so easy to see an empty car, casually try to open it, and grab something from that small space. Breaking into a house obviously happens but it’s a different level of finding a way in, people might be home, there might be a dog, finding stuff etc etc. Getting your car broken into or bag stolen when you hand it on the back of your chair ...

  11. Upstairs bathroom reno - final photos | GBCN

Overall, we didn't really have many choices. Only one specific vanity fit, only one specific medicine cabinet fit, etc. It's tight in there but looks so much roomier with the shower and glass door in place of the tub and shower curtain! Changing the door to open out was also a genius move by our contractor. Oh, and here was the "before":
