It used to be only 2 seconds before flash was axed. My at&t tv is delayed by 12 seconds.

Just type cnbc stream america into google. Download Think or Swim, it's on there. TD Ameritrade Mobile trader app has a CNBC live stream (you get to pick US, Europe, or Asia). You don't have to have a TD Ameritrade account if you select preview application. It however does not have a ticker or sidebar.
It is more of a computer programming bug than a temporary tech support issue. If grab the stream URL from client.log and open it directly in VLC media player, the CNBC stream works without freezing. I don't even need to have the app running. The downside is the URL changes every day. The small video player in the app is VLC.
Cnbc is syndicated by these hundreds of cable companies. If you have service from that cable company as part of your cable service, you have a license for Cnbc. But then those cable users that have cnbc sometimes want to watch it away from home. So, since they have a license, cnbc will let them stream so long as they have proof of their license.

Sony Vue will have CNBC. it will probably be 3 or 4 months before you can get Sony Vue on Roku, but its an internet package of a ton of stations, including cnbc expected to be 60 per month or more.
A good alternate to CNBC is Bloomberg Television. It's on Pluto for free and would be decent enough for guest areas. The $300/yr deal posted is probably decent enough but I'm pretty sure I read recently that certain trading accounts give you free access to CNBC... so check what is available through whatever stock trading service you have.

Open a TD Ameritrade account, then download the thinkorswim app. The app has a widget for CNBC. TD Ameritrade has its own channel that you can also watch when CNBC is not live.
