Koenigsegg CC8S - top speed monster of S1 class, this crazy thing handles okayish and can go to 400 km/h. McLaren 650S - very good and nice to use, not much worse than Lambo or Ford. Ferrari 458 - I squeezed 9.1 handling from this thing while still maintaining 4.459s to 161 km/h and 350 km/h top speed.
The American cars that everybody is suggesting will eat 1-2X the fuel of a decent Toyota, and be just as reliable / cheap to maintain. A big mistake that first-time car buyers make is not looking at fuel economy. If you drive 10,000 miles a year, the difference between ok and good fuel economy can be $2000+.
