some of my word docs have a weird sign in front of the file name. Hi. I am trying to figure out why I cannot insert shapes into my Word document. I clicked on the Insert tab > Shape > chose the shape but nothing happened. My cursor did not turn into a cross to let me draw the shape in my document. I tried to do it via Insert >Text Box to open the Shape Format Tab, but the same thing happened.
