I’ll spare you the whole saga, but it is widely known that the 2018- present expeditions have transmission issues because of the 10 speed. Same trans shared with f150 and mustang. There are class action lawsuits for certain models and years already.
Definitely prefer the 6. Zero issues. The 10 is on its second reflash and valve body. I preferred the 6 speed, have had both. I find the 10 speed is cluncky. Curious to see what people are more satisfied with. Seems like most of the stuff I read people prefer the old 6 speed. Feels like my 2017 f150 with 10 speed gave me all kinds of issues ...
Yes, the manual transmission is pretty good and feels good to drive. The big issue is with the automatics, so you will dodge the bullet on that one. 6. Reply. The TR sensor is actually part of what is called the molded leadframe, which is inside the transmission itself and requires special tools and procedures to remove and replace. Only an experienced Ford transmission tech should perform this work to prevent any major transmission damage. This is definitely not a job for a DIYer. Customer.

o Ford took me through these options: 1) Ford buyback my car, 2) try to get an aftermarket part & warranty approval for that part, 3) locate a new transmission that may contain a TCM, 4) wait for TCM, 5) consider selling car to dealership for pennies.
