This is a review and detailed measurements of the Klipsch RP-600M Speaker Review. I purchased them from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. The current cost on Amazon is US $629 including Prime shipping. I however found a refurbished one for $450 I think. It looks brand new in the box though. "RP" stands for Reference Premier so it better do well!

Yes the THX Klipsch speakers are known to be solid. Unlike some of the other THX ratings the speaker ratings actually mean something where the speaker has to pass certain criteria. Dispersion, distortion, spl, frequency response both on and off axis, etc. A.

This is a review of a Klipsch RP-600M which has been upgraded to a new crossover, binding posts and "No Rez" by GR Research. The kit costs US $244. OK, so there is nothing externally which is different. I can't open the unit to show the different bits but here is the back with new binding posts (two are in parallel):
I tested the rp160m and that driver (same one as the 600m version 1) is really robust with really low distortion for the class. If it is even lower in the 600m v2 then wonderful but the 160m was already doing very well. The other thing is high levels of HD at 500hrz are more likely to affect the sound of the upper mids.
Location. Janesville, WI. Apr 8, 2024. #2. You should be just fine listening at a 3 meter distance. Point the speakers straight out into the room or perhaps a little outward into the room. Experiment. Perhaps, you have already purchased the R-40M's. They are meant for near distant listening.
