I have the game, and I believe that there are 12 classes total, in male and female versions. In-game, you can view a list of the classes. each is separated by gender, so you see fighter (male), fighter (female), etc. the ones you don't have unlocked yet show up as question marks. It's a list of 24, which when you divide in half, leaves 12 classes.
