Lillard has done much more than 1-2 28 foot shots every 4-5 games. He was especially launching them in Portland. In 2022-23, in 58 games he shot 117 shots beyond 30 feet, which is barely over 2 shots per game. And that is before we count the 465 3s he took between 25-29 feet.

SAC Gets: Jerami Grant, Deni Avdija, & Toumani Camara. SAC Gives: Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Trey Lyles, & Jalen McDaniels. Why for SAC? Grant could be a great fit next to Sabonis with his size, length, athleticism, shooting, rim protection, and defense (with a reduced offensive role).

Jokic as the only guy who the USA has to defend still nearly helped them beat a juggernaut video game team ...

So in the latest Bill Simmons Podcast, the Sunday episode with Ryen Russillo, they opened the podcast with an extended back-and-forth on how NBA referees have completely adjusted the way they've been calling games since the all-star break. Long story short, there has been a massive increase in ...

Porzingis over the same stretch... - 35.4% on opens 3s (2.3 attempts per 36) - 25% on pull up 3s (0.5 attempts per 36) - 37% on all catch & shoot 3s (5.5 attempts per 36). I think the real thing with KAT is the kinds of threes he can shoot. KAT shoots step backs off the dribble, and comes off screens like he's Klay.

In the past decade, Curry has averaged nearly as many 3FGM per game (4.6) as Barrett's 3FGA average in his career (4.7). If Curry's 3FG% was 4% worse in the same span, he would have made nearly 300 less threes (or 0.44 per game) whereas a 4% difference for Barrett is 0.18 threes per game.

Lebron is built like a tank, but Jokic is still significantly bigger, and lebron doesn’t have the length to bother him. Jokic would just comfortably body him, take out his legs, and then hit his 6 foot baby hook over and over again. He’d do that to prime lebron, too.

My favorite single-player games of the last 5 years are 13 Sentinels, Hades, and Disco Elysium. All three games run on a Switch, and prioritize writing, mechanics, and style over fidelity and scale. Nintendo continues to look like the smartest guy in the room for getting out of the fidelity arms race nearly 20 years ago.
