0967-8220. PC Zone, founded in 1993, was the first magazine dedicated to games for IBM-compatible personal computers to be published in the United Kingdom. Earlier PC magazines such as PC Leisure, PC Format and PC Plus had covered games but only as part of a wider remit. The precursor to PC Zone was the award-winning multiformat title Zero .
It is played as a classic first person "point and click" adventure, with the world being represented by pre-rendered, animated screens.The adventure is based on a non linear structure, that gives the players a lot of freedom in exploring the environment and collecting clues at their own pace.
Klondike Moon is a resource management simulation game set in space, described as a "cross between Asteroids and Dune II". The game follows a loose story in which the player has taken a loan to start mining operations on an asteroid, and is required to pay off the debt, whilst interfering with their competitors.

Desktop Adventures was made to run in a windowed form on the desktop to limit memory use and allow the player to perform other tasks. This game was the first Desktop Adventures game, and was followed by Star Wars: Yoda Stories in 1997.

Notable writers include Charlie Brooker, David McCandless, and Rhianna Pratchett. Originally published by Dennis Publishing in 1993, it was sold to Future Publishing in 2004, who would close it down in 2010.
